The Jean-Marc Desserey domain, situated close to the charming village of Gevrey-Chambertin, is one of Burgundy’s most prominent winegrowers. Here, the region’s flagship grape varieties, such as Pinot Noir, are cultivated with the greatest respect for the land and biodiversity. Each parcel of vines receives specific care depending on its needs, to allow the personality of each one to shine through. In the winery, the philosophy is the same. Vinification involves minimal intervention and sulphur is added in minute quantities. The domain’s objective is to allow the terroir and the fruit to develop their full range of aromas naturally through each of the vintages. It’s in this peaceful environment that the domain produces exceptional authentic and fragrant wines with great ageing potential, perfectly reflecting the Burgundy terroir, sublimated by the region’s traditional savoir-faire.
