Information
Located at the heart of the Côte de Nuits, near the Gevrey-Chambertin appellation, in the commune of Morey-Saint-Denis, the terroir of Griotte-Chambertin is a prestigious grand cru, renowned for producing Pinot Noir wines of remarkable elegance and complexity. The vines flourish on clay-limestone soils rich in marl, ensuring excellent drainage and optimal retention of nutrients. Once harvested, the grapes are carefully vinified. They are first destemmed and then fermented in open vats. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for around 18 months, imparting subtle woody aromas.
This cuvée displays a vibrant ruby-red colour. The nose is rich and complex, with aromas of black cherry, raspberry, violet, delicate hints of spice and flowers. The palate is elegant and velvety, with fine tannins and a beautiful freshness, leading into a long, persistent finish.
