About the producer
J.M rum (for Jean-Marie Martin) is a rhum agricole produced since 1845 in Macouba, in the north-east of Martinique, between the River Roches and the Macouba River, at the foot of Mount Pelée. The distillery is located in the heart of the three-hundred-hectare estate of Fonds-Préville, which has existed since 1790.
About the wine
J.M 1845 is an aged rhum agricole. It is named after the year the estate was bought from Fonds Préville by Jean-Marie Martin, founder of the brand which bears his initials. It was aged for 10 years in 200-litre oak casks.
