    About the producer

Tino Kuban, a passionate and enthusiastic winemaker, took over the reins of Domaine Bernard van Berg located in Meursault, giving it the charming name we know today, Les Jardins Vivants (The Living Gardens). He cultivates one and a half hectares of vines at the heart of this exceptional terroir, where low yields and early-morning harvests guarantee premium quality fruit. Alongside his rigorous work as a winemaker, Tino has developed his own wine merchant business, Maison Glandien. He sources grapes from partner winemakers and friends located in various winegrowing regions, including Burgundy and Beaujolais, as well as Alsace and the Jura. He seeks out grapes from sustainable, integrated viticulture that comply with his high quality standards. During the vinification process, spontaneous fermentation, minimal use of sulphites and ageing in used barrels all guarantee authentic, flavoursome wines.

    About the wine

An iconic variety in the Burgundy winemaking landscape, the Pinot Noir grapes selected by Maison Glandien have all benefited from careful and precise viticulture, respecting the principles of organic farming combined with a natural approach. The grapes, with their small, tightly packed bunches, create an authentic, flavoursome cuvée produced from vines thriving on clay-limestone soils. Carefully harvested at peak ripeness, the Pinot Noir grapes are sorted before being transported to the winery. The low-interventionist winemaking process is traditional and natural, limiting inputs to the bare minimum.
The dazzling, bright ruby-red colour reveals beautiful dark reflections, promising a fragrant bouquet. The nose is indeed characterised by intense red fruit aromas mingling with subtle hints of spice. The frank, generous palate is enriched by notes of liquorice, delicately leading to a fruity and slightly spicy finish.
