Information
Jean-Baptise Semmartin expertly runs the Lajibe vineyard, located in the charming commune of Jurançon, in the heart of the south-west. His vines planted in over eight hectares stretch across the finest appellations in the region. Convinced that the right balance between man and the land was essential to producing high quality raw materials and great wines, the winemaker cultivates his vines with the greatest respect for the land and biodiversity. Each stage, from the vineyard to the winery, follows organic and biodynamic farming practices. A low-intervention vinification process starts once the grapes have been hand harvested. Sulphur is also added in minute quantity allowing the fruit to express their wealth of aromas naturally. Jean-Baptise Semmartin’s objective is to produce great regional wines that are rich, authentic and fruity.
