Information
This Meursault Les Vireuils from Pierre Girardin is a cuvée coming from the heights of the village. Harvests are carried out by hand, guaranteeing a rigorous selection of only the healthiest and ripest grapes. Vinification goes smoothly with fermentation in oak barrels and the use of indigenous yeasts, preserving the authenticity of the aromas of the grapes and of the terroir. The wine is aged on fine lees for 12 to 18 months in oak barrels, of which a percentage are new.
Tasting this wine reveals a rich and elegant aromatic palate with notes of white-fleshed fruit such as pear and peach, floral touches and a fine minerality. On the palate, it is full and round, with a delicate tension and a long finish, testimony to its perfect balance and ageing potential.
