Information
This vintage Champagne, made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes, is produced by the head of this family estate who also gave his name to the property. The massale-selected vines that are around 40 years old flourish in the temperate-oceanic climate with continental influence. They have been encouraged to draw all the necessary nutrients needed for their development from deep within the marl and limestone soils, using environmentally sound farming methods that are based on the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture. Low-intervention vinification is used in the cellar, typically meaning that indigenous yeasts start the fermentation process with a modest amount of sulphur added. This Champagne has been aged for ten years on laths.
Tasting a glass of this Champagne reveals an undeniable depth that has undoubtly come from a decade spent in the cellar. Its strength and rich fragrance make it the perfect match for dishes with character. It oozes notes of fresh bakery products, butter, honey and spices. Fresh fruit, an elegant minerality and delicious hints of almond and hazelnut are also present.
