Information
The cuvée Les Suchots is a true gem of Burgundy, offering a sublime and authentic expression of its terroir. Located on well-exposed slopes, the vines of this premier cru grow on clay-limestone soils mixed with marl, imparting a rich minerality to the wine. The history of this vineyard stretches back several centuries, and it is renowned for producing wines of exceptional finesse. After being carefully hand-harvested, the Pinot Noir grapes are destemmed and undergo natural fermentation in wooden vats. The wine is then aged with great care in oak barrels, some of which are new, adding delicate notes of vanilla and spices to the wine without overpowering its fruit character.
The wine presents a deep, vibrant red colour. The bouquet is captivating, revealing enchanting aromas of black cherry and raspberry, complemented by floral notes and soft spices. On the palate, it is velvety, with fine tannins and a lovely acidity, offering a harmonious balance. The finish is long and complex, with a remarkable ageing potential.
