Information
Jean-Claude and Noël safeguard the 17-hectare property created bit by bit by their grandfather Pierre Ramonet in the 1920s, a Burgundian figure. Noël (in the cellar) and Jean-Claude (in the vineyard) took over the domain in 1984. They are the third generation and want to get the best out of the terroir. It is one of the most renowned domain of the appellation for both quality and finesse of its wines.
The bouquet is remarkably intense, with notes of fresh citrus fruits such as lemon and grapefruit, combined with delicate floral hints of hawthorn and a subtle minerality, complemented by discreet touches of vanilla and roasted hazelnuts.
Medium-bodied, this wine offers a velvety texture that elegantly coats the palate. The dominant, persistent citrus flavours are accentuated by notes of ripe pear and a light minerality, supported by a nicely balanced acidity. The finish is beautifully long, leaving a pleasant persistence of citrus aromas and minerality typical of the terroir on the palate.
The exceptional quality of this wine sets it apart, making it perfectly harmonious from the first sip while offering ageing potential that will allow the flavours to develop further over the next few years. Serve with refined dishes such as grilled seafood, poultry in a creamy sauce or mature cheeses.
