    About the producer

Established in Beaune, in the heart of the Burgundy winemaking region, Charles Rebillon has always wanted to be the voice of the region’s terroir. Over the years, the House has assembled a close-knit team of winemaking partners and friends, not only from key Burgundy vineyards but also from smaller but no less exceptional estates. Since it was founded, the House has sourced its grapes in compliance with strict specifications, to guarantee premium quality raw materials and exceptional wines. The grapes are grown in the purest Burgundy tradition, before being vinified in a traditional, low-intervention way. The house aims to reflect the diversity of Burgundy’s vineyards with simplicity and perfection. Each team member working in the House has been carefully selected for their love of wine, their unique expertise and their respect for traditional Burgundian methods.

    About the wine

Charles Rebillon is a Burgundy company based in Beaune that produces fine wines from grapes grown by carefully selected producers. It offers this white Corton-Charlemagne, one of the region’s most famous Grands Crus. It is produced from Chardonnay, the noble grape variety par excellence. Benefiting from an oceanic climate with a semi-continental influence, the vines draw the nutrients they need to flourish from the limestone and marl soils, thanks to traditional growing methods. In the winery, little intervention is employed to allow the terroir’s identity to express itself. After ageing in oak casks, this wine is rich and intensely coloured. It can be cellared for a considerable length of time (up to 25 years for the best vintages). The wine displays a yellow colour with green hues which will turn golden over time. The disk is thick, a sign of generosity. On the nose, it reveals floral notes combined with white and yellow fruit, butter and fresh pastry. The whole is enlivened by a beautiful acidity that also imparts great ageing potential.
