Information
François Parent took over from his father, who bottled his first vintage in 1955. The domain went on to produce wines sold in the best Michelin-starred restaurants. François Parent also vinifies his wife's wines at A-F Gros. This cuvée was produced until 2006; when the parcel was sold.
Each parcel enjoys the benefits of organic and biodynamic farming. The Pinot Noir vines thrive in the clay-limestone soils, which provide them with all the nutrients and resources they need to excel. Once harvested by hand, the grapes are carefully separated before being destemmed. The grapes go through thermoregulated cold maceration for 3 to 5 days and are hand punched down and pumped over regularly. Finally, the cuvée is aged in 35% new French oak barrels for around 15 months before being bottled.
The intense red colour, bursting with shiny glints, reveals an expressive nose marked by aromas of red fruits and floral hints. On the palate, present and perfectly integrated tannins blend with a fine minerality, producing a fruity, indulgent and long finish. This is a wine made to be passed down through the generations.
