    About the producer

The Guinaudeau family has an impressive winegrowing history and a significant heritage. It owns the prestigious Château Lafleur, in Pomerol, as well as Château Grand Village, in the Fronsadais terroirs. Records show that the family has been present in Fronsac since 1650. The family estate has grown and developed over the generations. The estate now stretches over 70 hectares and includes more than 15 hectares of vines. Baptise and his wife Julie, the new generation, took over the reins in 2002. They apply careful, environmentally friendly viticultural methods, using no chemical fertilisers in either the vineyards or the winery. Once the grapes have been hand-picked, the vinification process is carried out in a traditional, low-interventionist fashion, guaranteeing the highest quality raw materials and exceptional wines.

    About the wine

Located in Mouillac, between the Côtes de Bourg and Fronsac, these Sauvignon vines, with an average age of 20 years, draw all the necessary nutrients to grow from the clay-limestone soils. The parcels, which cover less than a hectare, are carefully cultivated using sustainable farming methods and each stage is completed by hand in the vineyard. Once the grapes have been harvested at optimum ripeness, they are meticulously sorted and then pressed at low pressure. Vinification is carried out entirely in new barrels, and the wines are then matured on their fine lees in oak barrels for around eight months.
The golden colour reveals a floral and complex bouquet. On the palate, aromas of white fruits mixed with herbaceous notes reveal a great aromatic richness leading to an explosion of flavour and a deliciously long finish. This cuvée is perfect for storing in the cellar for several years to mature.
