Information
Domaine Borgeot was founded in 1903, in the heart of the village of Remigny in the south of the Côte de Beaune. The fourth generation of winemakers, now represented by Laurent and Pascal, currently run the domain. Established by Pascal’s grandfather, the family business originally consisted of just five or six hectares of vines. Today, they cover almost 20 hectares, stretching along the famous communes of Bouzeron, Santenay, Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny Montrachet. Each parcel is cultivated responsibly in the spirit of sustainable viticulture. The land is carefully ploughed and more precise manual tillage is practised replacing chemical fertilisers. The domain vinifies the vast majority of its grapes itself, and also sources some from partner winegrowers, to reflect all the finesse and wealth of the Burgundy terroir in each of its cuvées.
At the foot of the Saint-Aubin appellation, the Les Champs Gains climat is home to Chardonnay vines benefiting from optimum exposure. Each vine, climbing on clay and limestone soils, is carefully nurtured in the spirit of sustainable viticulture. The grapes are harvested entirely by hand to preserve the quality of this raw material and produce balanced and concentrated wines. Once in the winery, the fruit undergoes traditional vinification and careful ageing in oak casks before bottling.
The bright yellow colour reveals a delicate and refined bouquet, where citrus aromas mingle with notes of white fruit. The succulent, intense palate is dominated by citrus aromas sublimated by subtle hints of vanilla, leading to a fresh, mineral finish. This cuvée will reveal its full aromatic potential in its youth.
