Florens-Louis Heidsieck founded Heidsieck & Co in 1785. In the early days, the company specialised in wine and wool trading in the heart of Reims. Florens-Louis soon decided to focus on the Champagne trade. In 1818, the company reached the height of its fame when it became supplier to the King of Prussia and the Emperor of Germany. His nephew Henri-Louis Walbaum took over the family business twenty years later, and is determined to develop it with the greatest respect for ancestral expertise. The estate prides itself on sourcing quality grapes, which are essential for producing great champagnes. Vinification is low-interventionist, and sulphur is added in minute quantities to allow the fruit to fully express all their aromas and flavours naturally. Heidsieck & Co offers exceptional vintages, the true ambassadors of a unique terroir, ancestral know-how and over 200 years of history.
