    About the producer

Simon Colin, son of the illustrious Philippe Colin, winemaker at his eponymous domain, sought to combine his winegrowing experience with his appetite for wine-related knowledge. This led him to create his own wine trading business in 2017, sourcing premium grapes from partner winemakers and friends. These past four years, he discovered biodynamic principles, which he fully embraced for their benefits on both vines and wine. A new chapter began when he was offered the opportunity to acquire some of the family vines. This is how he introduced us to his first vintage in 2021, crafted from nine hectares of vines, cultivated and vinified following a respectful family tradition. Inspired by organic and biodynamic viticulture, the domain is currently in the process of being accredited and continues to produce exceptional wines through thoughtful, balanced and sustainable work.

    About the wine

Located in the southern part of the Côte de Beaune, the Chassagne-Montrachet appellation is home to two of Burgundy’s most iconic grape varieties, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The Chardonnay vines, which include some over 70 years old, benefit from ideal south and south-east exposure and climb on clay-limestone soils. The vines sit at an altitude of 220–325 metres and are cultivated by a committed winemaker inspired by organic and biodynamic cultivation methods. The estate is currently in the process of obtaining certifications reflecting this ethos.
The colour, characterised by light green reflections, reveals a floral bouquet combining acacia and hawthorn aromas with notes of verbena and hazelnut. On the palate, a rich minerality balances beautifully with flavours of fresh butter and toasty aromas, culminating in a fresh and persistent finish. This cuvée can be enjoyed young, but will reveal its full aromatic potential following several years of cellaring.
