Information
Known for being the second most-planted variety of red grape in the world, Merlot vines grow perfectly in the warmer regions of Switzerland. The estate’s philosophy is similar to that of permaculture, aiming to draw inspiration from nature to develop cultivation systems based on the natural cycles of soil and biodiversity. Once harvested, the grapes are carefully destemmed before being fermented in stainless steel vats for several days, with regular punching down. Finally, the wine is matured in oak barrels before being bottled by gravity.
The bright red colour is enhanced by purple glints unveiling an expressive bouquet characterised by scents of blackberry, blueberry and raspberry alongside hints of spice. On the palate, notes of of cinnamon and clove blend perfectly with the fine tannins leading to a long and slightly woody finish.
