Heir to a long family history of winemaking, Sébastien Magnien quite naturally went on to study oenology and worked as a viticultural technician before joining his mother on the family estate in 2004. During his years of study and apprenticeship, Sébastien honed his skills working for some of Burgundy’s leading estates, including Domaine Rossignol-Trapet in Gevrey-Chambertin, Domaine Olivier Leflaive in Puligny-Montrachet and Château de Santenay. He also worked for the Hartford estate in California. Sébastien, the fourth generation of winemakers, now cultivates 12 hectares of vines in the region’s finest appellations. In the vineyard, the winemaker applies integrated viticulture methods, and uses neither weedkillers nor chemicals. Throughout the year, each plot is closely monitored to ensure that the grapes are of the highest quality, perfectly reflecting the diversity of the terroir.
