Information
The Bocard family’s history of winemaking dates back to 1920, when Charles Bocard, Guy’s grandfather, founded the estate. His son, also named Charles, took over the reins of the family business and marked a turning point in the history of the estate. In 1959, he decided to bottle his own wines before marketing them, enabling him to assert his own concept of wine and develop his vineyard. Guy Bocard took over from his father over the years. From 1976 to 1983, he developed the estate considerably, acquiring numerous plots of land in Meursault. In 1987, he also undertook extensive renovation work and built a new, modern winery. René Mora, Guy’s loyal friend and partner, has been running the estate since 2020. Thanks to his experience on the Côte de Beaune, the winemaker decided to apply modern viticultural practices combined with more precise and meticulous work in the vines.
