Information
Domaine Dupont-Tisserandot has been run by the same family for four generations. It was bought by the Domaine Faiveley in 2013 but the teams remained in place, particularly Marie Françoise Guillard and Patricia Chevillon, who run the domaine. The 20 hectare vineyard has vines ranging from relatively old to old and it includes 20 different appellations. It extends from the north of the Côte de Nuits in Marsannay to the Côte de Beaune in Savigny-lès-Beaune.
This Pinot Noir Grand Cru covers some 7.3 hectares. The vines thrive on fine, mineral-rich limestone soils, conferring great finesse and remarkable aromatic complexity on the wine. Planted on the slopes of the Côte d’Or, they benefit from an ideal exposure for optimum grape ripeness and lively acidity. The grapes are hand picked, ensuring a meticulous selection of the healthiest, ripest bunches. Traditional winemaking is carried out in open vats, favouring gentle extraction of tannins and aromas. The wine is matured in French oak casks for 18 to 24 months, with a proportion of new wood, which imparts subtle woody notes without dominating the juice.
This nectar reveals intense aromas of ripe red fruit, black cherry and plum, combined with floral notes and hints of spice. On the palate, the texture is silky, the tannins delicate, and the long finish offers mineral and undergrowth aromas.
