About the producer

Following her initial career in journalism, Marthe Henry, granddaughter of the great Burgundy wine icon Pierre Boillot, embraced the winemaking trade in 2013. Passionate and determined, she settled in Meursault and started her training at the Lycée Viticole (wine college) before embarking on a long and thorough apprenticeship with her friends Pierre-Henri Rougeot and Jean-Yves Devevey. Early on, she built up her own business, a micro-trading operation offering premium wines. It was in 2023 that she took over some family vines for the first time, wishing to cultivate and vinify them in a pure, natural style. In the winery, vinification is low interventionist and the wines are matured in oak casks for a minimum of 18 months. Her first vintages already reflect her refined talent, combined with the wealth of a powerful and unique family heritage.

About the wine

Aligoté, a descendant of Pinot Noir, has been grown in Burgundy since the 17th century. This grape variety produces wines known for their freshness and delicious flavours, and is increasingly popular with consumers. The estate nurtures each parcel with loving care, applying the principles of organic viticulture to preserve the character and personality of the terroir. Before embarking on the long and meticulous winemaking process, the estate ensures that the grapes are harvested at peak ripeness. The main priority at every stage is to minimise intervention so as to respect the raw material and produce wines that perfectly reflect the terroir.
The slightly golden pale yellow colour reveals an expressive nose accented by an array of delicious white fruit and floral aromas. The extremely fresh palate strikes a fine balance between fruity aromas and delicate acidity, leading to an incredibly long finish.
