Information
Frédéric Magnien is in charge at once of the family domain in Morey-Saint-Denis – where he represents the 4th generation of wine makers – and his work as a négociant. Since 2010, the domain has been run biodynamically (with Demeter certification) and it has been making notable progress in recent years.
This cuvée comes from the prestigious Vosne-Romanée appellation and flawlessly combines two unique yet complementary terroirs to capture the full character of the Pinot Noir grape. Each plot faces the east and uses responsible, organic farming practices. The vines get the nutrients they need from the rich marly, limestone and clay soil. This 100% Pinot Noir is aged in earthenware pots and oak casks for a subtle yet stimulating character.
Its deep colour resembles black cherries. The nose is powerful and inviting with hints of forest floor mixed with fruity aromas. The mouthfeel reveals elegant and complex aromas of fruit which are perfectly balanced with the delicate tannins, evolving into a long, luxurious finish. This wine will reach its full potential after several years of cellaring.
