Information
The Chardonnay vines roll across the eastern side of the Bréchain valley and climb over soil which is primarily composed of limestone. The vines are ideally exposed to the east, which protects the delicate grapes from the harsh heat of the Chablis region. Additionally, the strong, chilly winds keep them cool. The vines for this Grand Cru produce grapes with a late ripening where the small harvest showcases fruit that is bursting with flavour and aroma. The wine is vinified and then matured on bed of fine lees for 12 months in casks and demi-muids (600-litre barrels). This cuvée undergoes a long and gentle maturation in stainless-steel tanks to preserve the intensity of the flavours.
This 100% Chardonnay has a light-yellow colour, enhanced with subtle tints of green. The bright, inviting nose is a veritable bouquet of aromas, from mint, to notes of lavender and hints of sweet peach. The palate explodes with flavours of citrus, underlined with hints of spice, for a phenomenal finish.
