Information
Diamond Creek, which was created in 1968, is the first Californian vineyard to only produce Cabernet Sauvignon. Something of a visionary, Al Brounstein, chose to cultivate his grape variety on Diamond Mountain, a small isolated mountain. The wines produced there have incredible depth and richness, lending them great longevity.
Diamond Creek Vineyard in Napa Valley, California is a veritable gem and is renowned for wines made exclusively from Cabernet Sauvignon. These vines come from a small plot in Red Rock Terrace, established on three hectares of iron-rich red soil. The vines enjoy a warm climate year-round, and benefit from a gentle and meticulous cultivation respectful of the environment and its biodiversity. The grapes are carefully selected and crushed, after which they macerate and ferment at controlled temperatures. Finally, the cuvée is matured in 225-litre oak casks for around 18 months before bottling.
The garnet-red colour boasts a lively nose enhanced with notes of blueberry and redcurrant. The palate flaunts robust tannins that are delicately balanced with a slight acidity for a long, fragrant finish.
