Information
Domaine Dubreuil-Fontaine has a superb heritage of vines in the Corton and Corton-Charlemagne appellation. This hill endowed with a wood is located in the middle of the towns of Aloxe-Corton, Ladoix and Pernand-Vergelesse. This domaine produces equally superb red and white wines found in Michelin starred restaurants .
Domaine Dubreuil-Fontaine has been in the Côte de Beaune for five generations, producing great wines from wonderful Premier and Grand Cru appellations. In the hands of Christine Dubreuil and her daughter Clémentine, we have this Corton-Bressandes made from 25 year old vines. The vines are situated within a parcel that is a little under one hectare large, located halfway up the hillside which is ideally exposed to the east and south-east. Environmentally-friendly growing encourages the vines to draw the necessary nutrients from well-drained soils, rich in clay, iron and pebbles.
Harvested and sorted by hand, the Pinot Noir grapes are entirely destemmed before traditional vinification which takes place in temperature-regulated stainless steel vats. The wine is then aged for between one year and 15 months in oak barrels, of which 30% are new.
Made for cellaring for around 12 years, the wine has a rich and complex fragrance marked by notes of cherry eau-de-vie, prunes, precious wood and humus. The wine is velvety, structured by dense and persistent tannins.
