Information
François Mikulski created his domaine in Meursault with his wife Marie-Pierre in 1991. The vineyard consists of four plots of premier crus (Genevrières, Charmes, Poruzot and Goutte d''Or). Great attention is paid to the vineyards which are managed in an environmentally friendly way. Wines mature for 16 to 18 months in the barriques, of which rarely more than 20% are new. The whole range has great quality, offering depth, complexity and finesse.
This wine is produced from vines grown using non-certified organic methods. The parcel of Tillets, after which it is named, is situated on the upper slopes of the appellation, next to Narvaux, at an altitude of 340 metres. The estate owns 0.18 hectares of vines here, with an average age of 5 years, planted on a subsoil consisting of platelet rocks.
Let’s proceed with the tasting. On the palate, notes of Comice pear combine with dried fruit and citrus fruit, along with hints of orange and bitter orange crystallised fruit. The finish is remarkable offering density and a persistence which seems to go on indefinitely.
This wine is perfect served with warm shellfish, fish or white meat, for example, especially with a butter or cream sauce. So get your apron on and start cooking! This wine reaches its peak between 5 and 10 years after production.
