Information
Domaine Rapet Père et Fils, is a very old family domaine in Pernand-Vergelesses (confirmed by an engraved 1765 tastevin). The vineyard extends over 20 hectares, spread between Pernand-Vergelesses, Savigny-les-Beaune, Chorey-les-Beaune, Aloxe-Corton and Beaune. It is managed in a sustainable and responsible manner to minimise phytosanitary treatments. The wines are of a modern style and express the typical nature of their terroir well; they are all the more interesting as prices remain reasonable.
This fine Burgundy wine was created from Chardonnay vines nestling at the heart of the commune of Pernand-Vergelesses. The vines were planted in the early 2000s on ideally exposed steep, south-west facing slopes. Once the grapes reach peak ripeness, they are hand-picked and transported to the winery in small crates to avoid damage. The whole grapes are then slowly pressed for two hours. After being racked for 24 hours at low temperature, the juice is transferred to The cuvée is then matured on its lees and carefully bottled after 12 months.
The golden colour reveals a lively, elegant bouquet, with scents of fresh fruit and honey, complemented by delicious notes of spice. The elegant and subtle mouthfeel affirms the aromas of the nose and gently leads to a lingering, fruity finish.
