Information
The Aux Cloux vineyard, located near the village of Savigny-lès-Beaune, is home to old Pinot Noir vines that are around fifty years old. The clay-limestone soils, consisting of limestone scree lying on a Jurassic subsoil, provide all the energy and nutrients required for the vines to thrive. Here, the south-facing Pinot Noir vines benefit from ideal sunshine at an altitude of around 260 metres. In the winery, the harvested grapes are vinified in the purest Burgundy tradition, with minimal intervention to allow the fruit to express their luscious aromas naturally.
The rich and slightly shimmering ruby-red colour reveals seductive notes of ripe red fruit delicately combining with hints of spice. The delicate and silky palate offers a beautiful amplitude and an elegant roundness leading to a fruity, persistent finish.
