Information
The Chardonnay vines, averaging 25 years old, thrive in the cool climate of the Santa Maria Valley, not far from Santa Barbara. The hand-picked grapes are carefully pressed in whole bunches, racked and cooled. Alcoholic fermentation is completed in the barrels. The cuvée is then aged for 10 months in oak casks, adding great aromatic richness, before being bottled.
The yellow colour, sublimated by light, bright reflections, reveals a delicate bouquet of spices, cloves and nuts, enhanced by a superb mineral structure. The tender, generous mouthfeel releases intense citrus aromas, leading to a persistent, intensely fruity finish. This cuvée will display the full extent of its finest aromas after several years of cellaring.
