Information
Located in the Hesse region in Germany, the famed domain Keller has made a reputation for itself thanks to its Rieslings from old, low yielding vines. This domain has been in the same family for 10 generations. It stands out for producing some of the best-scoring Rieslings in Germany.
Grosses Gewächs Riesling is produced by Klaus-Peter Keller, who is renowned for crafting some of Germany’s finest wines, particularly his highly prized Riesling. The Riesling is classified as Grosses Gewächs (GG), which means it comes from a first-growth vineyard and meets the highest quality standards set by the VDP (Association of German Prädikat Wine Estates). The Kirchspiel vineyard lies on well-exposed limestone slopes, providing the wine with its characteristic minerality.
This distinctive nectar offers complex aromas of citrus fruit, green apple, white peach and flowers, with a long finish. The palate is lively and well balanced, with mineral notes. This elixir can be savoured young, but also possesses excellent ageing potential, which will allow the aromas and structure to develop over time. This cuvée is perfect with fish or white meat dishes.
