Information
This cuvée thrives on a terroir consisting of deep clay-limestone soils rich in Kimmeridgian marl. The cultivated parcel, covering 0.6 hectares, faces due south, providing the forty-year-old vines with ideal conditions to flourish. Vinification involves native yeasts, guaranteeing an authentic expression of the terroir. One third of the wine is matured for 24 months in casks and demi-muids, and two thirds in vats, ensuring a balance of complexity and freshness.
The golden-yellow colour of this elixir reveals delicate floral aromas of acacia, honeysuckle and dried verbena. Notes of iodine, combined with aromas of exotic fruit, apple, honey, fresh butter and smoked nuts, further enhance the olfactive complexity. The palate seduces with a silky, powerful texture, precise minerality and pleasant bitterness. The long, bewitching finish rounds off the tasting experience.
