Information
This Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru originates from Les Folatières, a parcel lying on limestone soil, which gives the wine a remarkable minerality. The hand-picked grapes are delicately pressed before undergoing fermentation. Benoît Moreau vinifies the wine with native yeasts to produce an authentic expression of the terroir. The wine is aged in casks and demi-muids (600-litre barrels) with a small percentage of new wood to allow the fruit to express all its potential without being dominated by the wood.
This nectar is characterised by expressive aromas of flint, green pepper, lemon zest, notes of pear, blanched almond and acacia honey. With aeration, exotic notes of passion fruit and mango surface enriched by hints of coconut water and hazelnut. On the palate, the wine offers a supple slightly buttery texture, with flavours of meringue and pastry, delivering a balanced and elegant taste experience.
