Information
This Les Chalumeaux 1er Cru originates from limestone and marl soils, offering an ideal environment for the Chardonnay grape. Planted on well-exposed slopes, the vines benefit from a favourable microclimate that contributes to optimal grape maturity. The hand-picked grapes are meticulously sorted and lightly pressed. Vinification is performed in oak casks, and the wine is matured on fine lees for around 12 months, imparting aromatic complexity and refined structure to the juice. A small percentage of new casks are used in the maturation process to confer subtle notes of vanilla and butter to the wine.
This nectar reveals elegant aromas of white fruit, including pear and apple, combined with floral nuances and hints of minerality. On the palate, it is characterised by a perfect balance of lively acidity and creamy texture, culminating in a long persistent finish marked by a delicate minerality.
