Information
This red wine is made from the Grenache Tintorera variety grown in the vineyards of Almansa. This wine’s grapes are grown naturally and vinified using artisanal methods. Half of the grapes are destemmed and fermented in cement tanks using native yeast. Malolactic fermentation takes place in the same tanks, followed by five months of maturation on fine lees without stirring. Sulphur is only added during the bottling process.
The maturation process in concrete and neutral wood casks give this wine floral notes along with hints of fruit and spice and a generous mouthfeel. This Spanish wine reveals a beautiful melange of aromas such as ripe cherries and strawberries, notes of violet, brought together by delicate hints of spice. The body is well-structured and vibrant, yet light and smooth. The charming finish is pleasantly refreshing, with floral notes seasoned with soft and delicate tannins.
This wine is accessible and generous and best enjoyed when chilled thirty minutes before serving, and pairs perfectly with couscous. It can also pair well with grilled meats or slightly spicy dishes.
