Information
Malvasia, Albillo Mayor, Forastera and Marmajuelo varieties blend effortlessly together in this authentic white wine from the appellation Islas Canarias. The 100-year-old vines are located in Taganana, in Tenerife, at an altitude between 75 and 300 metres on volcanic soil, where the grapes are hand-harvested with the utmost care. The fruit ferments separately in 500-litre oak barrels with native yeast. Afterwards, the must is matured for eight months: 60% in oak barrels and 40% in stainless steel barrels on fine lees.
The wine is bottled without fining or filtering, giving it a full body and distinct mineral quality for a crisp character, and slightly salty and smoky aromas. Hints of earthy wet stone, flowers, apples and pears blend seamlessly with notes of dried fruit. This is a wine meant for haute cuisine and is perfect for meat, fish or vegetarian dishes. Its versatility makes it an ideal companion for a wide variety of dishes from around the world.
