Domaine Comte Senard is nestled in the heart of the charming Burgundy village of Aloxe-Corton. The vineyard was established in 1857 by Jules Senard, who passionately developed his two hectares of vines. Today it boasts ten hectares of vines, including eight hectares of Pinot Noir red grapes and two hectares of Chardonnay. Convinced that to produce great wines, quality raw materials are essential, the winemaker applies the same meticulous care in the cellar as they do in the vineyards. Well aware of the current environmental concerns and with a view to protecting biodiversity, they carry out each step in the vineyard with great respect for the soil and the environment and is currently in the process of converting to organic agricultural practices. After conducting harvests entirely by hand, the vinification process is carried out with minimal intervention and only minute amounts of sulphur are added to allow the fruit to express its full range of aromas. Domaine Comte Senard offers authentic vintages reflecting the exceptional terroir of Burgundy.

This white wine was produced in the village of Aloxe-Corton from ten-year-old Chardonnay vines planted on a small plot of land. The vines are organically cultivated without synthetic chemicals or additives in order to preserve the purity of the grapes and the integrity of the terroir. The wine is matured for one year in 350-litre oak casks, 60% of which are new. Maturing the wine in oak casks allows for a deep richness and complex aromas.
This elegant wine stands out with its crispness and citrus notes. The nose unveils aromas of white fruit, such as apple and pear, hints of honey, and notes of hazelnut and white flowers. This intricate bouquet reflects the Aloxe-Corton terroir. The palate is slightly sweet, with a mineral quality and notes that are similar to the aromas on the nose. These qualities come from the balance between fruitiness, acidity, and woody notes. The finish has hints of lemon and a slight saltiness, for freshness and vivacity that linger well after the first sip.
