
Information
This single-variety Syrah cuvée by Christophe Abbet is produced using vines rooted in granite soils rich in shale. The vinification process starts with complete destemming of the grapes, followed by punching-down by hand and a long maceration period without the addition of sulphites or other additives. Ageing is carried out in stainless steel tanks which allows for full preservation of the aromas and authenticity of the wine. Bottling is done without fining and with only light filtration.
In the bottle, this wine reveals very complex and captivating notes of red and black fruits, with notable aromas of raspberry, blueberry and prune, as well as floral notes of rose and violet. On the palate, it shows great finesse with a silky texture and tannins that are gentle on the palate.
This wine would pair perfectly with dishes of red meat, stewed meat or even a charcuterie board.
