Information
This wine stems from vines planted in 1968, rooted in clay-limestone soil with white marl and benefiting from a south-western exposure that is ideal for grape maturity. This 100% Pinot Noir cuvée is produced following environmentally friendly organic viticultural practices. The grapes are carefully harvested and subsequently 100% destemmed. The vinification process includes light daily pumping over and only two punch downs at the end of the fermentation to ensure gentle, controlled extraction. The juice is matured in casks for around 10 months, with no new oak, to preserve the natural elegance of the grape variety.
This ageing method ensures that the wine develops subtle red fruit aromas, with hints of strawberry, cherry, raspberry, along with floral aromas and light spices. Clos des Godeaux delivers a refined mouthfeel, with an airy texture and remarkable finesse.
