Information
Having acquired a real reputation with the wines from his trade, since 2006, with the help of his son, Dominique Laurent has also created a small producer-farming establishment from vineyards leased to a winemaker of Vosne-Romanée. He does not deal with vinification but élevage and bottling. Nevertheless, he supervises vinification. The father and son like to work grape musts that have not been destemmed and to mature their wines without sulphur. They use new barrels, the signature of the maison. Dominique Laurent's entire range of wines is characterised by a high degree of purity and to be accessible to all ages. This recipe has proved its worth to fans all over the world.
This exceptional wine from the prestigious appellation of Grands-Echézeaux and its limestone and marl soil give the wine its unique minerality and complexity. Spontaneous fermentation takes place using indigenous yeasts and maturation is mostly carried out in new French oak barrels. This method adds to the wine's powerful structure and distinctive woody notes. Ageing takes place for around 12 to 15 months in oak barrels resulting in a complex wine with a silky character.
Aromas of cherries, black raspberries, violets and smoked wood create a rich sensory experience. On the palate, the texture is spectacular, revealing black fruits and woody flavours. This wine is renowned for its ability to age in the cellar, developing more depth and complexity over time. It pairs perfectly with dishes such as osso bucco, turkey on a bed of chestnuts or stuffed leg of lamb.
