Information
The Roux family has been running the Burgundian vineyard expertly since 1885. The vines stretch across some of the region’s finest appellations in the heart of the iconic Côte de Beaune, Côte de Nuits and Côte Chalonnaise. The domain passionately cultivates the region’s typical grape varieties, such as Gamay, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Aligoté. The vines, averaging 30 years of age, are cultivated with the utmost respect for the lands and biodiversity. Each parcel receives specific care depending on its needs, to allow the personality of each one to shine through. Once the grapes have been entirely hand-harvested, vinification is performed with minimal intervention and sulphur is only added in minute quantities. Thus allowing the terroir and grape varieties to reveal their range of aromas naturally. The domain produces authentic and delicious vintages, perfectly reflecting the beauty and aromas of the Burgundy wine country.
This Montrachet Grand Cru strikes the perfect balance of structure and finesse offering a complex nose with a concentration of fruit complemented by soft tannins. While ready to be savoured now, this wine will age beautifully over the course of the next 10 to 15 years.
This wine is perfect with seafood, hard cheeses or on its own as an aperitif.
