Information
Chablis 1er Cru Fourchaume is a white wine made from Chardonnay grapes. This vineyard is planted in Kimmeridgian soils rich in marl and limestone, imparting minerality and great aromatic complexity to the wine. The traditional winemaking process starts with a fermentation in stainless steel vats, before the wine is matured in oak casks for around a year, contributing subtle woody nuances and a harmonious structure.
This nectar is characterised by white fleshed fruit notes of pear and apple, complemented by subtle floral notes of hawthorn and honeysuckle. The aromas combine with mineral notes of flintstone and oyster shells, typical of the finest Chablis wines. On the palate, this elixir reveals a beautiful freshness and a lively acidity which perfectly balance the richness of the flavours. The texture is silky and crystalline, providing a pure expression of the terroir. The finish is long and elegant, revealing hints of citrus zest and toasted hazelnut.
