Information
The 1er Cru Les Hauts-Pruliers is a cuvée produced from a one-hectare plot located in the southern part of the appellation. This wine is made exclusively from Pinot Noir vines that thrive in clay-limestone soils, which impart structure and refined minerality. Vinification follows traditional methods, with fermentation in open vats, followed by an extended maceration to extract maximum colour and tannins. The wine is then aged in French oak casks, with around 30% new oak, for 12 to 18 months, adding subtle notes of wood and spice while preserving the purity of the fruit.
On the nose, it reveals intense aromas of ripe red fruit, like cherry, strawberry, and raspberry, complemented by hints of undergrowth, mushroom, and a delicate touch of vanilla. On the palate, it is ample and structured with silky tannins and a long finish.
