Information
Coste Di Monforte is a Barolo produced from a four hectare vineyard situated in the commune of Monforte d’Alba at the heart of the Piedmont region. This wine is made exclusively from the Nebbiolo variety of grape known for its finesse and capacity to express the richness of its terroir. The soils of Coste di Monforte principally comprise of clay and chalk, offering a mineral structure that is ideal for growing this grape variety. The winemaking process starts with alcoholic fermentation in stainless-steel tanks and is followed by a prolonged maceration to fully extract the aromas and tannic structure of the grape.
As the wine is then aged in oak barrels for a period of 24 to 36 months, it adopts complex aromas of ripened red fruits, dried roses, spice, tobacco and truffle. On the nose, it is both elegant and intense, while on the palate, it shows great depth with firm tannins and a well-balanced acidity.
