The Pol Roger champagne house was founded in 1849 in Aÿ and moved to Epernay two years later. The brand quickly became known internationally, especially on the British and US markets. As a matter of interest, Winston Churchill even described Pol Roger as the most delectable address in the world! A cuvée in his name was launched in 1975. The property owns 92 hectares of vineyard planted between the Montagne de Reims, Côte des Blancs and Marne Valley. It selects its external grape supplies meticulously. When it comes to volumes, this champagne house, which is still family run and independent, is one of the "small" top houses. It is also one of the few producers to still riddle its bottles by hand. The champagnes are precise, consistent and of a very high quality, with a remarkable vinosity, depth and rounded character. They are often matured in cellars at the house for a long period and can be aged for many years.

Pol Roger’s Brut Vintage is a vintage Champagne made from a blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay. The grapes are sourced from a selection of Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards stretching from the Montagne de Reims to the Côte des Blancs.
In the winery, every stage of the winemaking process is carried out with great precision. Following manual harvests, the grapes are gently pressed before undergoing 24 hours of cold settling. Each parcel is then vinified separately in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats for several weeks. The wine is subsequently aged on its lees for many months, some 30 metres underground in the house’s chalk cellars.
Bringing together the finest Pinot Noirs from the Montagne de Reims and Chardonnays from the Côte des Blancs, Brut Vintage combines power with finesse. It displays a deep golden-yellow hue, a delicate nose of fresh fruit, white flowers and sweet spices. The palate is fresh, velvety, rich and intense.
