Information
Brunello di Montalcino is an outstanding wine produced exclusively in Montalcino, Tuscany, on hills of clay-limestone and ancient soils at elevations from 200 up to more than 500 meters. The remarkable terroir benefits from a dry, windy microclimate that fosters ideal ripening of the Sangiovese grapes. Once the grapes are at optimal maturity, they are harvested by hand. The wine is firstly aged for at least two years in oak barrels followed by a second stint in bottles for at least six months.
The glass shows an intense garnet red colour with bright highlights. The nose unveils a wonderful complexity through generous aromas of black cherries, tobacco, leather, sweet spices and precious wood. The wine is full-bodied, structured and elegant on the palate, marked by noble tannins, leading to a persistent, fresh and indulgent finish.
