Information
About the producer

Domaine Antonin Guyon in Sauvigny-lès-Beaune was founded by Antonin Guyon in the 1960s before he passed on the torch to his son Dominique in 1970. At this time the domain spanned 22 hectares on the Hautes-Côtes-de-Nuits. Since then, the vineyard has expanded to the size of 48 hectares, thus covering several appellations in the Côte-de-Nuits and Côte-de-Beaune and including several premiers crus and grands crus. These are powerful wines in a classic style. The domain is considered one of the best in the Côte de Beaune.

About the wine

Puligny-Montrachet spans an exceptional terroir between Meursault and Chassagne-Montrachet, renowned for its singular expression of finesse, mineral tension and balance. The Les Pucelles climat, classified as Premier cru, is one of the most sought-after sites in the appellation. Located just below the legendary Grand cru Bâtard-Montrachet, it shares the same underlying geological structure. The Chardonnay vines grow on very fine, well-drained limestone soils, rich in white marls and gravel. The grapes are harvested by hand at full ripeness, followed by careful sorting. In the winery, the fruit undergoes slow, gentle pressing before spontaneous fermentation. The wine is then aged for 12 months in French oak casks, with 30% new wood.
The straw-yellow hue is lifted by golden glints. The expressive bouquet reveals aromas of ripe citrus fruit, white flowers and butter, enhanced by a hint of hazelnut. The attack is pure and generous, leading to a structured palate, culminating in a long, precise mineral finish.
