Information
About the producer

François Feuillet is a driven businessman who decided to invest in a vineyard in 1991. He is the proud owner of a charming Burgundy domain, stretching along some of the region’s finest appellations. His vines are lovingly tended by the Durand family of winegrowers, represented by David Durand, a passionate young winegrower. Together, the winegrower and the CEO of Trigano are happy to cultivate more than ten hectares of vines. Well aware of the current environmental concerns and with a view to protecting biodiversity, they decided to use strict organic farming practices in the vineyards. In the winery, just like in the vineyards, everything revolves around the utmost respect for the soil, to allow the terroir to express all its aromas freely. Vinification involves minimal intervention and sulphur is used in minute quantities. It’s against this peaceful backdrop that the Burgundian vineyard produces exceptional, authentic and flavoursome vintages, perfectly reflecting the region’s grape varieties.

About the wine

Nestled between Morey-Saint-Denis and Vougeot, the small Côte de Nuits village of Chambolle-Musigny is home to Pinot Noir vines planted on shallow soils composed predominantly of hard limestone and gravel, with only a small proportion of clay. East- and south-east-facing slopes provide the grapes with the amount of sunshine needed to achieve perfect ripeness in this moderately continental climate. The grapes are harvested by hand in small crates to preserve the integrity of the bunches. In the winery, they undergo a cold pre-fermentation maceration before a slow, spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with native yeasts, along with gentle manual punch-downs. The wine is then aged for 14 months in French oak casks.
In the glass, the wine reveals a superb ruby-red hue. The expressive, floral bouquet opens with aromas of fresh red berries, lifted by delicate hints of incense and a distinctive chalky minerality. The first sip is supple, unfolding into a silky texture that carries through to a long, poised finish with a subtle saline edge.
