Information
Domain Thénard farms vines in Givry, producing wines vinified traditionally and matured in old cellars that date back to the 17th century. He owns vines in appellations such as Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru, Corton and Pernand-Vergelesses Premier Cru.
The Côte de Beaune, located in the heart of Burgundy, is one of the region’s most prestigious appellations for both red and white wines. Its exceptional terroir is renowned for producing some of Burgundy’s finest wines, including several Grand crus. Manual harvests allow for the careful selection of the finest bunches. Following partial destalking, the grapes ferment in open vats with gentle maceration. The wine is then aged in high-quality oak casks, a proportion of which are new, enhancing its complexity while preserving the purity of the fruit.
The wine displays a deep, brilliant ruby hue. The intense, complex nose combines aromas of ripe red berries and violet with more subtle notes of garrigue, cocoa and fine oak. Supple and elegant on the first sip, the palate unfolds with fine, silky tannins, supported by vibrant freshness.
