Information
The Aux Murgers climat, nestled in the heart of the Nuits-Saint-Georges terroir, lies halfway up the slope between Nuits and Vosne. This climat’s name comes from the “murgers”, piles of stones accumulated by winegrowers to clear the land. The coarse-grained clay-limestone soils, strewn with gravelly scree, ensure excellent drainage, concentrate the fruit and allow for balanced ripening. Grapes are hand-harvested at full maturity, destalked and fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel vats. The wine then matures for around 18 months in oak barriques
The wine displays a vibrant brilliant ruby-red hue. The nose offers an intense and refined expression, blending dark fruits with floral violet notes and subtle spice tones of white pepper and liquorice. On the palate, the wine reveals a generous and ample texture, structured by firm yet silky tannins, leading into a long, fruit-laden finish.
