Information
The Puligny-Montrachet appellation is celebrated for its refined white wines. The Premier Cru La Garenne, set on the slopes of Puligny-Montrachet, is known for its limestone soils and ideal exposure. The grapes are carefully hand-picked at peak ripeness and and carefully sorted before undergoing spontaneous fermentation in French oak casks. Ageing lasts 12 months in French oak, with about 25% new wood. Maturation is carried out without stirring the lees to preserve the purity of the fruit and the mineral character of the terroir.
The wine displays a shimmering pale yellow hue. The expressive nose reveals white flowers, stone fruits such as peach and apricot, and the hallmark mineral imprint of the terroir. On the palate, the attack is precise and vibrant, with a silky texture, bright tension and a long, finely mineral finish.
