Information
Established in 1897, today’s vineyard is the fruit of the relentless and passionate efforts of four generations of winemakers committed to sublimating the Burgundian terroir. The story begins with Victor Magnien, who was introduced to winegrowing in Morey-Saint-Denis by his grandmother. After getting married, he started his own domain, including some of the finest appellations in the region, which unfortunately endured the bitter years of the Great Wars. Félix, his son, then took over the reins of the family business, together with his wife. They continued to vinify their grapes with great care, and all the wine they produced was sold to the wine trade. Jean-Paul and Marie-Odile, the following generation, began marketing bottled wine, adopting methods that respected the soil and the appellations of origin. Stéphane has been working at the domain since 2002, implementing the traditional expertise of previous generations to craft authentic vintages bursting with flavour and history.
